Gotta love a sewing competition to stretch you and get your creative juices flowing. So when Tessuti announced a sewing competition this month, I thought why not enter. I read about the competition on their blog the other day and was intrigued by the condition that you use a fabric they purchased from a local designer aptly named 'gridlock'. Quite a suitable name I thought. I loved the look of the fabric and in particular the fact that you can use the front or back.

So I have until 3rd April to make something which really isn't much time so I better get a wriggle on. My inital thoughts are making up Simplicity 1755 and doing a contrasting collar and matching fabric belt. I haven't made a fabric belt before complete with fabric covered buckly, so this might be the best opportunity to try!
